Ryan Boehme

Ryan Boehme (b. 1994) is currently pursuing the Doctor of Music - Percussion Performance degree at the Florida State University, studying under John W. Parks IV, DMA. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, he instructs the Percussion Methods course. He received his Master of Arts at the University of Central Florida, where he served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant with the Marching Knights Drumline and instructed the Percussion Techniques course. Boehme received his Bachelor of Music Education at the University of South Alabama, where he served as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant with the Jaguar Marching Band.

 

Aside from academics, Boehme is a freelance teacher and performer. He has taught private lessons for 8 years, and he has worked with several high school percussion sections in Alabama and Florida. Boehme is a Section Percussionist with the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra, and he has served as an extra percussionist with the Mobile Symphony Orchestra, the Bach Festival Society of Winter Park Orchestra, Sinfonia Gulf Coast, and the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra.

 

Boehme's previous instructors include Dr. Luis C. Rivera, Matthew Greenwood, Dr. Thad Anderson, Kirk Gay, and Dean Jeff Moore.
